First and foremost, thank you for visiting the AweScapes company website!  Whether you are a first-time visitor or one of our repeat customers, I want you to know how much I appreciate your interest in the company.
 
I will start things off by giving you a history of the company.  AweScapes Landscaping & Irrigation was established in 2003.  Before that, however, we spent a lot of time talking to the general public about their experiences with the other landscaping companies in the Central MN area.  We wanted to be sure that our goals and objectives fit perfectly with what our customers would want. 
 
Upon talking with many people about their experiences with other landscaping companies, here were the top complaints we heard:
 
- Lack of customer service and follow-up.  Many people were irritated about always getting voicemail and never receiving a call back after leaving a message.  There were also mixed complaints about rude customer service representatives on the other end.  We also talked to a few people who had a project done unsatisfactory and had to go through a struggle just to get the company to come back out and fix it. 
 
Lengthy project start dates.  People would get an estimate in May but the company would tell them they couldn't start until the end of August due to the season's workload.
 
- Untrained Work Crews.  We were told that a trained representative would come out for the estimate, make suggestions, answer any questions, etc.  But once the contract was signed and work was to begin, a full crew of untrained workers would be sent to the jobsite.  This resulted in the project not being done correctly and very irritated customers due to several follow-up calls having to be made to the company at fault.
 
So we went to work on devloping the principles that AweScapes would be build upon.  We wanted to focus on the problems that customers of other companies have had and make sure that our company would not go down that path of customer dissatisfaction.
 
Here were our solutions to the problems we had heard from customers of other landscape companies:
 
- Our solution to the lack of customer service and follow-up: We clearly understand that answering the phones is what will bring business in.  However, we also understand that we won't be able to answer every call due to being busy with other customers.  We have made it a policy to return all messages the same day they are received.  I myself know the frustration of leaving a message and then not receiving a call back in a timely manner.  We also know how important being polite is.  Deciding what kind of landscaping you should do can be confusing and we understand that and will work with you and answer any questions you may have.
 
- Our solution for lengthy project start dates:  In Minnesota summer comes and goes in the blink of an eye.  We understand how important each project is to each individual customer.  That is why we hire on additional crew members as the workload becomes more demanding.  We don't think anyone should have to wait months to have a project done.  Instead, we increase our trained worker count to keep up with demand.
 
- Our soulution for untrained work crews: We make sure that on every project there is at least one person in charge and also that the rest of the workers are familiar and trained with that particular project.  This gives the customer the assurance of being able to talk to the project manager if questions or concerns should arise.  This helps prevent any problems before they can occur.   
 
We also understand that your yard is important to you.  We go through every effort to make sure we treat it with care when working on projects that require heavy equipment.
